Part 1. The preparation before upgrading iOS 8 to iOS 9/10

1. Download iOS Beta

Make clear of your device type from the back of your device and download the corresponding firmware and decompress to .ipsw file.

2. Make sure your device can be upgraded to iOS 9

Part 2. The iOS 8 to iOS 9 upgrading course

As Apple only released the iOS 9 beta up to now, we cannot upgrade commonly as usual such as using iTunes or wireless. The only way to upgrade iOS 8 to iOS 9 successfully is to download the iOS 9 firmware, and then upgrade with the assistant of iTunes manually.

1. Connect your iOS device with computer

After getting the iOS 9 firmware ready, you should connect your iPhone with your computer with the USB cable, and then click the iPhone or iPad icon to enter the interface.

2. Use iTunes for upgrading to iOS 9 for iPhone and iPad

Open your iTunes on your computer, control "shift" on the keyboard and "upgrade" on the iTunes at the same time, and the rest upgrading part can be finished automatically. Choose the prepared iOS 9 firmware, making sure that it is an .ipsw file.

3. Upgrade iOS 8 to iOS 9

The next step is as same as the regular upgrade: iTunes will prompt the users whether upgrade to iOS 9 bata or not. Click "Upgrade" and waiting for iTunes detection with wireless and upgrade the new iOS 9 firmware to your iPhone or iPad.

4. Activate your iPhone and iPad

After upgrading iOS 8 to iOS 9, you should reboot your device and reset your device according to the guide.
