Part 1. How to Download iOS 16 Developer Beta

Apple releases iOS 16 to developers on September 12, 2022, which is the latest beta version. Without a paid developer account (Apple App Developer Program memberships cost $99 per year), you won't be able to download any non-Xcode betas. Installing iOS 16 requires Xcode 11 beta already installed and macOS 10.15 beta already installed. While installing iOS 12 via iTunes requires Xcode 10 beta already installed.

Step 1.
Download the configuration profile from the download page.
It's suggested that you download the configuration profile directly onto your iOS device.
Step 2.
Click on the "Discover" tab.
Step 3.
Click on the operating system buttons in the bar near the top of the screen.
Step 4.
Tap Download.
Step 5.
Log into your developer account.
Step 6.
Go to the iOS beta 14 section according to your need and tap the download.
Step 7.
After the profile is downloaded successfully, connect your device to a power cord and connect to a stable Wi-Fi.
Step 8.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Step 9.
Tap Download and Install.
Step 10.
To update now, tap Install. Or you can tap Later and choose Install Tonight or Remind Me Later. If you choose Install Tonight, you'd better connect your device to a power cord at night and your device will update automatically by morning.

If prompted, enter your passcode.

2. Download iOS Beta without Developer Account

However, developer beta may be more unreliable and with more bugs than public beta, so we recommend you to use a public beta if you don't want to pay for a developer account. Step 1.

Tap on Allow in Popup and then tap on "iPhone".

Besides, both the program and software are free. Before you download iOS public beta, the first thing you need to do is to back up your iPhone with iTunes. Then follow the steps below to download and install iOS 16 public beta.

Step 1.
Open Safari on your iPhone and navigate to the Apple Beta Software Program.
Step 2.
Tap the Sign Up button, or sign in directly if you are already a member.
Step 3.
Agree to the Apple Beta Software Program terms and conditions if necessary.
Step 4.
A Guide for Public Betas screen will appear. Select the iOS tab, scroll down to the Get Started section and tap enroll your iOS Device.
