How to Recover Photos from iCloud Photo Stream

I lost my iPhone 5s and had some pictures from it synced to photo stream before it was lost. However, I accidently deleted one of them from photo stream on my new iPhone. Is there a way to recover the photo? Since it was technically on iCloud/photo stream at one point (just deleted it by accident today), shouldn't there be a way to get it back?
