Getting Started

Introduction

FoneLab provides you three recovery modes for you to retrieve lost or deleted files on your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Here we introduced these three ways separately. Please download and install Aiseesoft FoneLab on your computer at first.

Part 1. Recover from iOS Device Directly

Step 1 Launch the program and connect your iOS device with computer via USB cable. For iOS 11 or above, you need to unlock your iPhone first, then tap Trust on your iPhone. If you are using iPhone 4/3GS, iPad 1 or iPod touch 4, you need to download a plug-in and enter the scanning mode following steps on the interface.

Step 2 Choose Recover from iOS Device, and click the Start Scan button to start scanning deleted data.

You can click Select the Data Type to choose the specific data type you want to recover, which can save more scanning time.

After scanning, all the files in your device will be listed in categories. Please note that if you have many files in your iPhone, the scanning process may take longer. Please wait patiently.

Step 3 You can find the target file in its own category and preview it. For example, if you want to make sure the photo is just what you want, double click it and you can preview it.

Step 4 Choose what you need and click the Recover button. The checked files will be exported and saved in your computer.

Note:

If you have backed up your iPhone with iTunes encryption before, you will be required to enter and validate iTunes backup password in the pop-up window, so that you can continue to scan your device.

Note:

If your device is running iOS 13 or above, and has no encrypted backup in iTunes, you will see this pop-up window. If you want to scan out Call History, FaceTime and Safari History data, you can click Encrypted Scan to move on. But if you don't, just click Cancel and the program will skip scanning these three types of data.

Part 2. Recover from iTunes Backup File

Step 1 After launching the program, choose the second mode Recover from iTunes Backup File. All the backup files in your computer will be detected and listed. Scan the one you need.

Step 2 If you have encrypted iTunes backup, you need to enter the backup password first to continue to scan from iTunes backup file.

Step 3 After scanning, the scan results will be listed. Check what you need and click Recover.

Part 3. Recover from iCloud

Step 1 Run this software and select iPhone Data Recovery to go to Recover from iCloud. Here, you can enter your Apple ID and Password to verify your identity.

Note:

If you have enabled two-factor authentication, you should tap Trust button on iPhone, and then Apple will send you the verification code to your iPhone. Enter the received verification code in this software.

Step 2 Then, you can select the data type you want to recover from iCloud like Contacts, Notes, Attachments, Reminders, Photos. After that, click the Start button to scan iCloud data.

Step 3 It will take some time to complete the scan process. When the scan is done, just click the data type from the left sidebar and the details will show on the right. You can select the files you want to recover now.

Step 4 Now, you can click the Recover button to select the destination folder and recover the iCloud files easily.
